Nike Air Max 1 Chinatown New York

The Nike Air Max 1 "Chinatown New York" pays homage to the vibrant cultural tapestry of New York City’s Chinatown, blending rich storytelling with one of Nike’s most iconic silhouettes. The sneaker released as a limited edition and celebrates the neighborhood’s heritage as well as its enduring influence on the city’s cultural and culinary identity. 

The upper of the sneaker features premium suede and patent leather, with a one of a kind silky pink textile covering the toe box and heel. Two-tone coloured laces sit over an orange tongue that's decorated with a Chinese symbol, replacing the signature Swoosh logo. The primary eyecatcher is probably the heel panel which features an embroidered wing horse that's known as a Chollima in Chinese mythology 

The shoe’s release coincided with festivities, and details like the embroideries and color scheme were intentionally chosen to honor themes of renewal and celebration.
